Moto Tab G62 and Moto Tab G62 LTE specifications and images have been leaked online. The Moto Tab G62 is likely to be the Wi-Fi-only model and the other one will have 4G connectivity option. The tablets have reportedly surfaced on Google Play Console and their details were shared by a tipster. On the basis of the specifications listed, it is speculated that the new tablets will sit under the Moto Tab G70 LTE that made its debut in India in January this year.
Moto Tab G62 specifications
The tablets will sport a 7.2-inch HD display with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The resolution is not specified but it is speculated that the display will have a pixel density of around 218 ppi. The display is expected to be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and it will have a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The tablet will have 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
The Moto Tab G62 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1GHz with Adreno 306 GPU, which has four cores running at 1GHz and four cores running at up to 1.2GHz. It runs on the Android 5 Lollipop OS, which is the latest version of Google's mobile operating system and supports 4G LTE connectivity. It packs a 2,300mAh battery with support for fast charging technology Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 that can charge the battery in just 30 minutes using compatible chargers that are sold separately on Amazon India store for Rs 3,000 or in Flipkart for Rs 3,999 (both models). The Moto Tab G62 has been listed on Amazon India store for Rs 7,999 while Flipkart carries it for Rs 8,999 (both versions).
The tab is available in black, white and red shades and it is made out of aluminium and plastic. It has a 2MP rear camera with LED flash, which can shoot videos at 720p resolution and it also has a 0.3MP front camera. The Moto Tab G62 will be available exclusively on Flipkart from October 3 for Rs 8,999.

The Moto Tab G62 starts at Rs 12,999 for 8GB storage model and is available on Amazon India store from Rs 14,999 onwards.
As mentioned, the Moto Tab G62 tablets will sit behind the Moto Tab G70 LTE that was launched in India in January this year. It is to be noted that the Moto Tab G70 LTE features an 11-inch IPS 2K LCD display with 2,000x1,200 pixels resolution. It could be a possibility that the leaked Moto Tab G62 tablets also have an identical display as the Tab G70. It also has 4GB of RAM.
The Moto Tab G62 and the Moto Tab G62 LTE will have at least one variant with 4GB of RAM, as per the listing. The information shared also suggests that both the tablets have displays with 2,000x1,200 pixels resolution and 240hdpi pixel density. The tables run Android 12 and sport a similar design.
The Moto Tab G62 has a single rear camera with a single LED flash and the Moto Tab G62 LTE has dual front-facing cameras.
The pricing of the Moto Tab G62 is yet to be confirmed. The Moto Tab G70 LTE was priced at Rs 15,999 in India. The tablet was launched in January this year and is available via online shopping site Amazon India.
The launch of these tablets will come as a surprise as Motorola has been looking to move away from its Motorola X series tablets that have been launched earlier this year. Motorola X Play is the only tablet that remains in the X series, with the Motorola X Play having been launched earlier this year.
Last month, Motorola launched a new tablet in India called Moto Tab G7 Plus. The company also plans to launch a new tablet in India called Moto Tab G7 as well. The company has not yet revealed when these tablets are likely to go on sale, so pricing details of these tablets have yet to be revealed.
The launch of the Moto Tab G6 Plus and Moto Tab G6 has been seen as an attempt by Motorola to compete with Xiaomi's Mi Pad series. The company has also launched the Moto Tab G4 Plus earlier this year.

The Moto Tab G4 Plus is powered by a 3500mAh battery, while the back camera is equipped with a 13MP sensor, while the front camera is equipped with 8MP sensor. The tablet also comes with Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box, along with Motorola’s custom UI on top of it.
