If you have already dropped into Black Ops 7 Season 1, you probably realised pretty quick that Astra Malorum is not some chill warm‑up map at all, and if you are the kind of player who likes messing around with a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby to get used to layouts and routes, this place still feels sweaty from the first round. The main quest is long, it punishes mistakes, and it is way less forgiving than the launch maps, but once you know the order of things it stops feeling impossible and starts feeling like a proper grind that actually pays off.

Fixing Power And Grabbing The LGM-1
The run really starts with the Harmonic Oculus. Until that thing’s fixed, you are basically stuck doing laps. You need three fuses, and they like to spawn in slightly different spots each game. Most of the time you will find them on crates in the starting zone or by the debris on the upper Observatory levels, so do a slow sweep and do not rush to open every door at once. Once the fuses are in and power stops flickering, do not get baited by side objectives. Head for the Armory and start the LGM-1 quest. You can pull it from the box if you get lucky, but building it is way more reliable and you are going to need the upgraded version later anyway, so it is better to lock that in early than pray to RNG halfway through the egg.

Planet Alignment Without Wiping Your Squad
After you are set up with the Wonder Weapon, the next choke point is the planetary alignment step in the Control Room. There is a holo display on the console that shows the order of planets and their colours. Above the map, you will see matching orbs floating in the air. The game wants you to shoot those orbs with the LGM-1 in the exact order and colour shown on the screen, and this is where people panic. If the screen says blue and you hit the red orb by mistake, the game throws you into a lockdown wave with armoured zombies and it gets ugly fast. The easiest way to handle it is to let one person call out the sequence while another does the shooting, and everyone else just holds windows and specials so you do not get swarmed while you are trying to read the screen.

Cryo Chamber Escort And Mars Setup
Once you nail the planets, the Cryo Chamber downstairs unlocks and you finally get to deal with Dr Thurston. You interact with the chamber, pull out his brain, and suddenly you are moving like you are stuck in mud. While you are carrying it, you cannot shoot and you are limited to this slow walking pace, so the escort actually matters. The clean way to do it is to have one player grab the brain and everyone else clear a lane ahead, dropping Monkey Bombs or decoys whenever a wave builds up. You are dragging the brain to the scanner near the airlock; once the scan finishes, a portal to Mars spins up. Before you jump, hit the crafting tables, top off on Self‑Revives, armour plates and lethal equipment, because there is no Pack‑a‑Punch on Mars and you really do not want to find that out halfway through the boss.

Caltheris Boss Fight Phases
The fight with Caltheris is not about fancy mechanics as much as it is about staying calm over four phases without burning all your ammo at the wrong time, so it feels more like an endurance run than a quick duel. In phase one you just break his armour by shooting the glowing vents on his body, which is straightforward as long as you keep some distance. Phase two ramps up when lava starts covering most of the floor and suddenly the safe spots are those higher platforms around the arena, so you are always rotating, jumping, and watching for zombies that spawn behind you. Phase three is usually where teams fall apart, because Caltheris goes immune and you have to clear waves of adds to feed soul boxes in the corners; if one box is ignored, the phase drags on and everyone runs low on ammo. Phase four turns into a pure damage race where his chest opens up and you just dump every bullet, lethal, and specialist into that weak point, while still moving enough to avoid his wipe attack. If your squad keeps communicating, staggers equipment, and maybe even warmed up earlier in something like a buy BO7 Bot Lobbies session, you will eventually crack him and the whole quest stops feeling impossible and starts feeling like one of the better Easter Eggs the series has had in a long time.Enjoy fast, reliable access to high-quality Black Ops 7 lobbies at u4gm.com, improving your overall gameplay experience.
